Recent Website Updates

All recent website updates are listed on this page. This page isn't indexed by search engines and most people don't even know it exists. There is only one link on the entire website leading to this page and hardly anyone ever clicks on it. It appears that you've found it. Well done, oh curious one. You've hacked your way through some of the dense undergrowth and stumbled upon my secret forest. This is where you're more likely to find me — cleaning paintbrushes or sitting in the corner beneath the old oak tree, removing pedicels and counting Chiltepins with my two favourite ravens. Holler if you find me: spicemadd@protonmail.com

10/10/2026: Forty two additional photos were added to the site.

23/09/2026: A new blog post was published.

21/09/2026: Ten additional photos were added to two of the varieties pages. Over the past few days I've also been decorating the About page. I took my time and chipped away at it. I like chips.

04/09/2026: Sixteen additional photos were added to three of the varieties pages.

31/08/2026: The Rocky Road Rocoto page is now live. The link can be found on the grow list page under the Capsicum pubescens section.

29/08/2026: Six additional photos were added to the Trinidad Moruga Scorpion page and 11 additional photos were added to the Carolina Reaper page.

29/08/2026: A few minor tweaks have been made on some pages. It's awkward having to work on the website across two devices. Image editing and writing is all done on a laptop and then copied onto a tablet and uploaded from that. Text is copied from text files on the tablet and pasted into the HTML editor. (I'd be there all day if I had to write using a tablet!) All images are uploaded from the tablet into the HTML editor and then the code is tweaked and tidied up. It gets very fiddly after a while.

27/08/2026: Four additional photos were added to the Bullet page and 27 additional photos were added to the Carolina Reaper page.

25/08/2026: A new visitor's tracker was added in the top section of the side bar. It sits in place of the previous ClustrMaps version, which stopped working weeks ago. The ClustrMaps website remains dead and the service may have shut down permanently. The tracker that currently sits in its place is from mapmyvisitors.com and it seems to be using the same software as ClustrMaps. However, it doesn't appear to work very well. It would seem that since installing it someone from Guantanamo Bay has been permanently viewing the website. Maybe he needs our help! I'll see how it performs, and if there is no improvement in the service after a few weeks, it can go. Incidentally, just like the previous ClustrMaps version it only tracks visitors to the homepage and not visitors who visit other pages on the website from search results. This is due to how the blog theme functions. The side bar is only accessible when viewing the homepage. The visitor numbers are therefore not very accurate, but it gives us a live view of who is visiting and from where.

19/08/2026: The Bullet page is now live. The link can be found on the grow list page under the Capsicum annuum section.

18/08/2026: The Carolina Reaper page is now live. The link can be found on the grow list page under the Capsicum chinense section.

07/06/2026: A flag counter was added in the bottom section of the side bar. It will be interesting to see what countries people are visiting from.
