Bahamian Goat

Species: Capsicum chinense | Origin: Bahamas | Pungency: Very Hot

Bahamian Goat is a variety from the Gladstone Road Agricultural Centre (GRAC) in the Bahamas. The plants have a fairly compact growth habit and produce good yields of ribbed, Scotch Bonnet-shaped chillies which start green and ripen through yellow and then to light orange-peach. When grown under optimum conditions the plants can get quite tall, and occasionally some of the pods may develop a small scorpion-like stinger tail. Bahamian Goat chillies have a slight floral aroma and a strong fruity flavour and work very well in salsas, sauces, stews, stir fries and Caribbean and Yucatecan cuisines.
