Ring of Fire
Species: Capsicum annuum | Origin: USA | Pungency: Hot
Ring of Fire, also known as 'Ring-O-Fire', is an early variety that produces excellent yields of medium-long, Cayenne-type chillies which start green and ripen to red. When harvesting the chillies it's recommended to cut them off rather than pull them because the delicate plants can be damaged very easily. The thin-walled chillies have an excellent flavour, and they also dry very easily and make a very tasty powder, or alternatively can be used whole in curries and other such foods. Ring of Fire chillies are great for spicing up sauces, salsas, soups, stews, casseroles, stir fries and chili con carne. They also work very well on pizza.
